Remote Control Car I bought this as a gift for my nephew. Both came quickly (Lightning McQueen also) and although I thought they were much smaller than the picture depicts, the kids love them! The toys work and we haven't had a problem with them. THey are very cute. Drives in circles drives in reverse in circles. When you push the controller, it goes forward. They call this "easy" control or something. I call it annoying and lame. Althought in their defense my five year old didn't seem as disappointed as me, she now spends far more time playing with her brothers McQueen that you can control all four directions (by Matel? bigger, faster, and better). Overall, if you have to have Sally, this is your only choice so far as I was able to find. If you can sub Mcqueen (and it's rumored Matel makes a Ramone too) I'd go with a different product than the Tyco line.

Ocean Warlord! Don't ask me why, but Mer-Man has always been one of my favorite characters, and I was very pleased when I received his Classics figure. He was large and frightening, finally looking like he could command a degree or two of respect, unlike his bat-faced original toy and his goggle-eyed 2002 toy. I love how he's posed in his package, and I only wish he had the alternate filmation-friendly head on his shoulders just as much as I wish Man-At-Arms had his mustache head on his figure. Classics Mer-Man is awesome, I'm glad he was released so soon.

A nice-looking and durable superhero figure (part of the cool new DC Universe line) I don't know much about the character Shazam!, but I'm a fan of the new 3-3/4" DC Comics superhero action figures and thought I'd grab this one for my superhero collection. (I already had a Superman, Flash, Batman, etc. And Shazam! looks pretty cool.) Shazam! bends at the knees and elbows. His legs move at the hip. His shoulders have ball & socket joints, his head rotates, and he can turn at the waist. It's reminiscent of old-school action figures. (The shoulder joints being a nice upgrade.) There are no spring-loaded action moves and the figure isn't overly articulated. I think this simpler design makes the DC Universe: Infinite Heroes line more kid-friendly than some other action figures out there these days. The figure is made of a durable plastic and should withstand a good deal of play. Shazam's cape is made of a rubbery plastic and is glued onto the figure's back. The toy doesn't come with any weapons or accessories. Just Shazam! himself, dressed in his traditional comic book costume. A nice addition to a toy chest and a nice-looking superhero toy. What's great about the new DC Universe: Infinite Heroes (by Mattel) and Marvel Universe (by Hasbro) action figure lines is that a wide range of popular superheroes and villains are being released together. In both cases the no-frills figures are designed from their classic comic book appearances, rather than from recent movies or stylized animated TV series. And they're all 3-3/4" scale, too. So you can get the classic superheroes from both Marvel and DC and play with them together in one all-star adventure. And the Star Wars action figures are the same size, too. These new toys break down barriers. Characters from all these different fictional mythologies can co-exist in playtime imagination. I'm excited about the new lines because of the simpler design of the figures (back to the basics) and the standardization (in size and quality) of characters from throughout the comics. (Everyone under one roof, so to speak. Not limited by what movies or TV shows they're in.) Little Shazam! It's been awhile since I got some superhero actions figures that are actual toys rather than just plastic statues. About the size of old Star Wars figures, 3-3/4" scale, the "DC Universe Infinite Heroes" are fully poseable, with great colors and sculpting. As a huge Captain Marvel fan, I am really glad to see such a great figure. He is wearing the post-Kingdom Come variation of the costume, with gold belt, lighting symbol and arm bracers, but with yellow boots. The cape is a little on the long side, and not really Captain Marvel's half-cape but more of a full Superman cape, but that is a minor complaint. The sculpting is not too detailed, but looks great for the size. Posability is limited to the arms and legs. There are full knee and ankle joints, with ball joints for shoulders. He can rotate at the hip but not at the neck. The cape isn't removable, but is soft plastic so it doesn't get in the way. I am really pleased with this figure, as well as with enemy Black Adam. I don't think that any more Marvel Family figures will make it into this set, because DC seems to be concentrating on the DC Universe Classics line now, which also has a Captain Marvel release.

Just Okay Barbie Keep in mind this Barbie has permanent shoes and her legs and arms don't bend. I am glad for the painted on camisole and underwear, but getting clothes on and off for a three year old is pretty frustrating given the doll's stiffness. Best 1st Barbie I got this for my daughter as a first Barbie...her bigger sister had a bunch and she wanted one too. She wasn't quiet able to maneuver the clothes on the regular Barbie's easily. This doll makes it easy for her to change the clothes and have fun with her big sister. This allows for less frustration when role-playing as well.

Evil Master of Escape! I never had the original Webstor figure as a kid, so I don't get involved with the gripe many He-Fans have about the differences between the backpacks of the original and the Classics figures, I just know this figure is incredible, especially with the spider legs on his back. I always thought the original figure kind of looked more like a vampire than a spider man, so I'm glad they added the spider legs to help justify and clarify the name Webstor, I only wish he came with a sword instead of a laser gun, the gun just doesn't seem to fit him although it's an original accessory, and I really wish he was wearing his armor in the package, but other than that, this Classics figure is awesome.

A relatively dull toy, but a major villain for the cool new DC Universe action figure line Lex Luthor comes in some sort of purple and green suit, ready for action. Known in the comics for being a criminal mastermind/business tycoon, this Luthor is dressed like a villain on a mission. That's part of what appealed to me, since in the movies and on TV Lex Luthor is often seen as a bald guy in a business suit. I like the idea of him doing some dirty work. The figure bends at the elbows and knees. The legs move at the hip, the shoulders have ball & socket joints, the head swivels around, and the figure turns at the waist. The DC Universe: Infinite Heroes action figure line reminds me of the old-school action figures of years past. Nothing fancy. Just the basics. I also think these figures are more kid-friendly. Many action figures these days are designed for collectors. These new DC Universe: Infinite Heroes figures are designed for kids. They are made out of durable plastic and should withstand a good amount of action. They don't come with choking hazard accessories or intricate moving pieces that could break off. They're simply good old-fashioned action figures. Lex Luthor isn't anything special as an action figure. He's a bald guy in a cool suit. No weapons or karate-chop action or anything. Pretty dull if you're not into superheroes. I guess the fun comes from your own imagination. Devising sinister schemes for Luthor when you play. But it's a good pick-up if you can find it for a cheap price, as every superhero collection needs some villains. I'm a big fan of both the DC Universe: Infinite Heroes collection (by Mattel) and the new Marvel Universe collection (by Hasbro). Both lines produce very basic action figures for characters featured in their respective comic book mythologies. The characters are designed from their classic comic book appearances, rather than their appearances in recent movies or stylized TV cartoons. And the lines contain characters from the whole pantheon of superheroes and villains, together at last. (Rather than being separated by movie, TV show, etc. You get, for example, Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Joker, Flash, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, Shazam!, etc. all under the same banner.) Another thing that's cool about both the DC Universe: Infinite Heroes and Marvel Universe action figures is that they are both 3-3/4" scale. This smaller scale is the same scale as the popular Star Wars action figures. So characters from DC, Marvel, and Star Wars can be mixed together to make for some great playtime adventures. And since the collections umbrella the entire comic book lineups, you don't have to worry about Iron Man figures being taller than Spider-Man figures or Batman figures dwarfing Star Wars figures. They're all the same size. While the Marvel figures are more posable, I think the DC figures (like Lex Luthor) are more durable and might be safer for younger children. But both lines should be fun for kids as they can collect all their favorite heroes together. I especially like the basic comic-based designs. No weird gimmicky costumes. Just the classics. Good for piecing together an all-star superhero team.

You'd better have an O-L-D computer to run the software Wont work with windows xp or windows vista. Software will not install. The item was in great shape and just as described. It arrived promptly. I did not know, due to lack of reasearch on my part that this doll will not do crap if you hook it up to a computer that is running windows newer than 1995....not even with vista. BEYOND BAD!!!! DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. If you're looking for a book that will give you inaccurate information, this is the one for you. It was obviously written by someone who knows very little about Vintage Barbie. The pictures are inaccurate, and just plan bad in some cases. They have the American Girl wearing Pilgrims for goodness sake! And to help you identify a Swirl Ponytail they have her pictured wearing an American Girl bathing suit (now I know there are rare ones that came this way, but this book is supposed to guide you in your collecting, not confuse the heck out of you causing you to look for the wrong thing or at least something next to impossible in most cases to find. You can't even see her ponytail in the picture. I was really shocked, and am returning this book immediately. What a waste of time and I was really looking forward to getting this book too. And as for pricing in this "price guide", my god, prices are sky high!!!! if the price guide in the book is accurate, I've gotten some amazing deals recently, I mean like half price, I know the economy is bad but this edition of the book is supposed to reflect updated values. Have values really dropped in half since this was printed??? Or was this written by Barbie dealers, to "educate" you so as to help relieve you of more of your cash while collecting. I think so... It's a sham and a shame!!! Many Sloppy Errors - Bad Reference Book I have a problem with reference books that are filled with errors because they are written by non-collectors. I am assuming this book was written by a non-collector because no self-respecting collector/expert would want to lead other collectors so astray. The only reason for a collector to purchase a reference book is to assist in their purchases -- ensure they are buying a doll with the correct head and body along with the proper swimsuit/outfit. This book has significant errors so the collector is left vulnerable instead of informed. These errors are blatant, hopelessly sloppy and undoubtedly caused because the author does not know her subject matter. That alone is unforgiveable, but additionally, the price guide is terribly inaccurate. If the subject is of sufficient interest to warrant a reference book, the effort should entail enough research and care in the creation to produce something of value to the reader. This book will mislead rather than empower a collector. It is clear is that the main motivation for producing the book is money, not sharing accurate information. Collectors deserve better, and there are much better books on the subject. Best Portable Barbie Book This title not only features an expanded price guide from the previous edition but showcases a part of the collection of renowned Barbie expert Sandi Holder. Holder, who runs Sandi Holder's Doll Attic in Southern California, has been featured in Newsweek magazine, as well as newspapers and magazines around the world. Sandi has served as a Barbie doll consultant for Mattel for years. Her business established a world record for the highest price ever paid for a single Barbie when she auctioned a Ponytail #1 doll for $25,700. My favorite part of the book? The 50-page vintage fashion sets chapter. Great fun and simply beautiful! She is very glamourous, indeed. Her make-up is quite heavy: runway-style smokey eyes, and heavily done lips and cheeks, even for the fashion queen herself. But what makes her extra special is that her holiday dress is *pink*. I love it! The gown is actually layers of pink lamé, with several shades of bright and pale pink tulle layers over the top of the skirt, and an oversized lamé bow tied at the waist. I think it's quite couture, and quite possibly overdone, but only Barbie could carry it off. She's 50! Why not celebrate? We deboxed this doll, and her hair actually stayed nice, too. I think she's lovely. Again, the super-slim model muse body doesn't pose very well. I wish Mattel would use the pivotal body more (I love to pose my dolls). Also, you should check out the Barbie 2009 Holiday African-American Doll version of this doll, too. She is also simply lovely.

Cute costume! I bought this costume for my nephew who is 3 and loves Spongebob. It was the best Spongebob costume we could find. He looked great in it. Very authentic. I would definitely recommend this costume. DO NOT BUY FROM GRIM REAPERS! First, this is not a toy - it is a Halloween costume. Second, this company was HORRIBLE. You have to hound them to get your product sent within a timely manner. I called and left several messages over multiple days and send multiple emails asking for shipping information. I didn't get any response until I threatened to take them to the Better Business Bureau. Only then did I get two phone calls within 15 minutes of me sending that email. DO NOT USE THEM - they do not care about getting products to you on time!!! Spongebob Deluxe Costume Costume arrived as pictured. Very durable and warm. Great product. Pretty simple figure of the modern incarnation of a Golden Age comic hero This figure is part of Mattel's 3-3/4" scale DC Universe: Infinite Heroes action figure line. The line brings a variety of characters from the rich history of DC Comics to stores as simple smaller-scale toys. The figures are the same scale as the popular Star Wars and Marvel Universe action figures, but their simplistic design offers limited posability. I was interested in this Spectre figure because the Infinite Heroes line encourages buyers to build their own superhero team. I know next to nothing about the character of the Spectre, but I wanted to diversify my DC collection. I'd seen the Spectre in pictures from Golden Age comic books (including being seated with the original Justice Society of America) and I liked his old-school costume. He seems to have a cool 1940s look to him. Ashen skin with a green hooded cloak, gloves, shorts, and boots. Very mysterious. As it turns out, this particular action figure is the recent Crispus Allen version of the character. I wouldn't know any better, and the costume looks pretty much the same as always, but there's one big difference that is hard to make out in the product images: the figure has a gray goatee. I don't really mind the facial hair, but the Spectre that I'd seen in pictures was clean-shaven and the beard caught me by surprise. But it's not a big deal. The Spectre still makes a nice addition to my modest collection. This Spectre figure has articulation in the knees, hips, elbows, shoulders, and neck. The shoulder joints in these DC figures are ball & socket joints, providing the greatest range of motion (and a nice touch). The hood and cape are one rubbery piece and, I believe, can be removed if you try hard enough. The figure is made of a durable plastic and should withstand normal playtime action. The Spectre comes with no accessories, so no small pieces. The toy should be fun for kids with imaginations and a nice addition for DC Comics fans. Good Things come in Small Packages While this small size of The Spectre seems pretty ordinary, it is enjoyable to have in a collection. The color of the figure and is bendable portions make this quite a contribution worth having.

Mystic Enforcer! I haven't seen very much of the 2002 He-Man cartoon, so my knowledge of Zodak here is pretty vague...racial differences notwithstanding, I'm assuming he's related to the original Zodak in some way? Maybe it specifies in his bio on the back of his package, I can't remember and I'm not about to take him down to find out. With his awesome staff, neon blue tattoos (or energy or something?), nifty white gloves and all around cooler outfit, Zodak is better than Zodac and looks great in the Classics line, not to mention the first 2002 character to be included.

A very simple figure, but a nice design and an excellent addition to a collection This figure is of the Hal Jordan Green Lantern and comes in his classic green and black costume, with white gloves and a painted-on green ring. What I like so much about this toy (and, indeed, the whole DC Universe: Infinite Heroes line) is its simplicity. Just the figure in the character's defining look. No silly accessories, no gimmicky costume variations. And the toys have an old-school design, with just the basic moving joints: elbows, knees, hips, shoulders. (The shoulders are ball & socket joints, a nice upgrade.) I love this figure because I never really had a proper Green Lantern figure and with this nice new DC Universe: Infinite Heroes line by Mattel, I can collect my favorite heroes and villains and have them all fit in with each other. Same size, same classic style. I'm not a comic book reader and know very little about the Green Lantern (my superhero knowledge comes primarily from older cartoon shows), but I know he's an important hero in the DC universe and I was excited to add him to my growing collection, joining Batman, Shazam, etc. (I'm still after Superman and the Flash.) I really like the way the figure looks. I think I prefer this Hal Jordan costume to any earlier or later variations. And I'm glad the figure isn't see-through green or anything weird like that. I was just looking for a straight-up Green Lantern toy, and here it is. The toy comes with no accessories, but is made out of a durable plastic and is ready for action. It should withstand normal playtime rigors and would make a nice addition to any 3-3/4" scale superhero collection.

Improperly Marked
It seems that Mattel did not do there home work because the package clearly says it is the "USS Enterprise-A" but when you examine the ship itself it is clearly just the "NCC-1701" and not the "A" as they proclaim. I honestly feel this was a deceptive practice and Mattel knew what they were doing. If you haven't noticed yet they have delayed release of the rest of the ships, I am hoping to correct there blunders.

Lots of Fun
It's a little hard to understand from the product description, but this set allows for a race between two cars. The race can be triggered by other cars connected to the set externally via existing tracks. So it's both a great standalone set and a great extension to existing sets.

My 5 year old really loves it, and I expect kids up to 9 years old or so to like it as well. The only reason I did not give it five stars is that longer term my son lost some interest in it, even though he will play it once in a while.

Works well and lots of fun.
We are happy with this toy. Many Hot Wheels toys aren't so durable but this stands up to my six-year-old's play. We're happy with it and most of the other Trick Tracks.

My Boys Love It!
We purchased this and another addition for our 7 & 4 year old. They both love it! It's fun and educational in that there are so many ways to set up the track and do "tricks". We'll definitely be buying more additions for X-mas.

This doll is perhaps even more amazing than the Goddess of the Sun! Bob Mackie really outdid himself with these dolls. The colors are bold and striking, and the designs on her dress/cape are just gorgeous. I love everything about this doll! From the backside she is not as impressive, but just show her from the front and it'll be fine. For value purposes you should probably leave her in the box, but if you want to display either the Moon or Sun Goddesses then you will need to take them out of the box, as the boxes do not have a viewing window. The boxes themselves are nicely decorated and will help retain value, so keep them close.

Don't let children play with any of the Bob Mackie Barbies--that is sure to ruin their value.

It's Hot Wheels in Water!
My three-year old friend Robbie "found" these cars propped up on the side of his bathtub the evening of his birthday party. The very idea that anything changes colors is fascinating to little kids (some big kids too). That they are CARS that change colors sealed the deal. Robbie's Mom tells me that these Hot Wheels have gotten a true workout and continue to keep Robbie occupied. When one was misplaced, Robbie promptly picked up his (toy) telephone and called me to ask me to come help look for it. Can't ask for much more in a present, can you?

Does not work...
I bought my son 2 of these cars. He was so excited to see them change color. We submerged them in warm water, as stated on package, and absolutely nothing happened. We thought we were doing it wrong so we submerged it in very cold water, still, nothing happened; no change of color. Big waste of money--do not buy these Color Shifter toy cars!

Ripoff!
This product doesn't deliver what it promises. As a reward for exceptional behavior, this car was promised to my 3 year old. We talked and talked about how cool this car was, really building it up. He worked hard and earned the reward only to find out that it was a big dud! To get it to turn a different color you have to put it in the freezer, not very practical at all. Then when you take it out it immediately starts to revert to the original color.
The whole idea was to have it one color at room temp. then put it in the warm bath to change it's color. That would be really cool if it happened, but it doesn't.

You may not think that the comedienne and talk show host Rosie O'Donnell is the coolest woman on television, but she's definitely the coolest, most realistic doll to be created in years. Rosie is a "Friend of Barbie" collectible--the only one that is realistically proportioned (a bit more bump in her rump, a little more breadth in the bosom, and a realistic, movable waistline). Her features very closely resemble those of the real Rosie O'Donnell. Exhibiting not so much glamour as goodwill, Rosie's wearing white trouser socks and "sensible" shoes that Barbie wouldn't be caught dead in. Interestingly, her blazer is sewn to her vest and slacks, and her vest is stitched shut. Maybe the manufacturer presumes that little girls wouldn't be interested in dressing Rosie in something else every once in a while? To do so, you must cut the threads that bind her. Can't find Rosie clothes
One of the most ground-breaking designs in doll-making. A more "true-to-life" doll with realistic proportions! What a great idea. But, much as in life, this "real-size" Rosie faces the same problems that most "real-size" or "generous-size" women face---- Barbie's clothes JUST DON'T FIT!!! Poor Rosie is doomed to wear that polyester red pantsuit because noone made "real-size" clothing and accessories for Rosie! Poor little doll!

But still, Way to go on the design!

Best (and most realistic) doll
I got this doll this Christmas and was amazed. For once Mattel made a doll that didn't have a micro-scopic waist and bulging bust. Not only will you have fun with this, you can actually relate to it. Sure, I'm only 11, but I'm mature enough to know realistic when I see it. Rosie is one of my role models and this is one doll I know you'll love.

What the??
This doll is too skinny. Rosie O'Donnell is much more plump than this doll portrays, and is therefore an unrealistic doll as well as not worth the money. Avoid this doll like the plague; wait 'till Bandai makes a fat Rosie O'Donnell doll. However, the head in proportion to the body is well done on this doll; her head is QUITE large.

Spock Barbie
I love star trek and barbies, so this purchase made sense. I was upset, however, that for $40 Mr. Spock would have been designed so poorly. His outfit was good, as was his phaser and tricorder and boots and all that, but I was extremely disappointed in his hair. It wasn't very neat and about as hard as it could be with whatever type of hair spray Mattel uses for dolls. It also didn't look very much like Mr. Spock. His eyes seemed to be painted unevenly also. All in all, it seemed that these Star Trek dolls were massed produced quickly and without care to make the biggest profit. Nevertheless, it is a wonderful display I have of all the dolls from Star Trek.

Savage Henchman!
Savage Henchman indeed. This is the Beastman we've been waiting for. Better than the kinda small "mitten feet" Beastman of the 80's, and vastly superior to the hunched, cartoony Beastman of 2002. This figure is large, expertly crafted and everything Beastman should be from his claws, feral expression and nasty whip. This was technically the second Classics figure released, although he was available the same time as He-Man back in December of 2008. Those two figures were the best gifts I received that year!

Warrior Goddess
Teela is another one of my good guy favorites in the Classics line, and her sword is my favorite good guy weapon so far. Released last month, Teela is the first ever female figure in the Classics line (With Green Goddess and Adora coming up in December and January) and her accessories are awesome. Sword, shield, staff, interchangeable head with snake armor, and Zoar the falcon, although I'm not sure if it's merely a falcon or the Sorceress' alternate form. Teela is still cheap (under $50), but I don't look for her being so for long.

Evil Leader of the Evil Horde!
I think that, originally, it was supposed to be Ruthless Leader of the Evil Horde, I guess Mattel just didn't get around to fixing it in time. Just when I thought Hordak wouldn't and couldn't get any cooler than his 2002 mini-bust and staction figure, the Classics figure came along and it is sick! The detail and sculpting on the entire figure is awesome, especially the cape, staff, head and armor. He's one of my favorites in the bad guys so far and I can't wait for other Horde members. I'm especially glad they made his cape red instead of the original white. This is a great figure, and the Classics style really shines through with him.

The chair is a little flimsy but the other little plastic parts have held up fine. Chelsea and her clothes are very pretty!

Wow! This doll truly is "Un-fur-gettable". Chelsea is lookin' furry in a super cute an' stylish mini jumper and shawl! She also has way sweet boots with modern looking leg warmers. Her fuzzy chair (so cute) just makes this doll so much better! She comes with magazines, a cute little monkey (darling!), a very cool purse, makeup (fake), and a furry telephone! And her hair is very soft pretty! It's perfect for any collection or just something to play with!
