The 2009 Holiday Barbie is the ideal collector's item for the Barbie lover in your home. And this year, Barbie is not only celebrating the holidays, she is also celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Barbie doll -- making her a particularly special collectible. Designed for ages six and up, the 2009 Holiday Barbie is wearing a gorgeous bejeweled, multilayered pink gown. Your child will love showing her off to friends, or propping her up on her doll stand for everyone to admire. 2009 Holiday Barbie Ages: 6+ What We Think
HOLIDAY BARBIES I'M A BARBIE DOLL COLLECTOR AND THIS DOLL IS BEAUTIFUL, JUST AS THE OTHER HOLIDAY BARBIES ARE. IF YOU ARE A COLLECTOR BE SURE TO ADD THIS TO YOUR COLLECTION. INCIDENTLY, I AM 84 YEARS YOUNG AND I STILL LOVE DOLLS. I HAVE ALL THE HOLIDAY BARBIES, STARTING WITH THE FIRST ONE. Gramdma and Aunt Kat Kat i have purchased the Holiday Barbies for my Granddaughter and Niece for years. This years is of exceptional beauty. Love It! A wonderful holiday doll, done in true Barbie style One of my favorite Holiday Barbies yet, we were thrilled with how much more lovely this doll is in person than in the promotional photos. She is very glamourous, indeed. Her make-up is quite heavy: runway-style smokey eyes, and heavily done lips and cheeks, even for the fashion queen herself. But what makes her extra special is that her holiday dress is *pink*. I love it! The gown is actually layers of pink lamé, with several shades of bright and pale pink tulle layers over the top of the skirt, and an oversized lamé bow tied at the waist. I think it's quite couture, and quite possibly overdone, but only Barbie could carry it off. She's 50! Why not celebrate? We deboxed this doll, and her hair actually stayed nice, too. I think she's lovely. Again, the super-slim model muse body doesn't pose very well. I wish Mattel would use the pivotal body more (I love to pose my dolls). Also, you should check out the Barbie 2009 Holiday African-American Doll version of this doll, too. She is also simply lovely.
